Starke Adoption in Afrika.

According to Google Trends, Nigeria was recorded as the
country with the highest number of bitcoin searches globally
in early 2021, signaling the growing utility of cryptocurrency
in the country. The data also pointed out that country’s youth
have been the decisive force behind the surge in bitcoin
searches.

As Google Trends suggests,
the interest in bitcoin is decentralized geographically, with Delta State ranked 1st and Lagos, the most populous
city in Africa, ranked 17th. The decentralized interest suggests that the youth might see bitcoin as “representing
the democratization of access to global wealth.”
